Quiet, well designed, love it!
I bought this filter to replace the Zoo Med Turtle Clean 15 on my 2.5g nano planted tank. The old filter had serious issues with water flow reduction after just a few days of running. <br><br>I haven't had any problems from the Eheim 2211 from the day I installed it. It does take a few minutes to prime when you first start it, but once all the bubbles are out it runs like a dream. You almost forget it's there, it's so quiet. The water stays clear, I have no algae problems at all and the flow is perfect and reliable. I love how much room it has for media in the canister and the well thought out design with the top and bottom grills ensures good water flow. <br><br>I am not using the polishing pad or carbon. It comes with a good amount of media so you can start using it right away if you don't already have some laying around. I also cut the intake tube to fit my tank and didn't attach the spray bar. My only wish is that the suction cups were clear.

Eheim filters, the only ones I use
I've been using these filters for over 20 years. I've never had one fail ,I purchased these because I'm gonna get back into the fish tank world, can't wait!

Works where others failed
Great at clearing up cloudy water, super quiet! Had to watch Big Al's video to get instructions figured out, however. Where water changes, siphoning, chemicals, and constant floss filter changing have failed, this succeeded in about two weeks. Will purchase more of this brand for other tanks soon!

Reliable classic
The Eheim 2211 runs silently and reliably. I can't even hear it when I'm sitting right next to it. I have had mine running on an overstocked 12 gallon tank for two years, and have never once seen any trace of Ammonia, and cloudy water is cleared up quickly. Maintenance is easy, however the owner's manual is somewhat vague in directions for how to clean. I 100% recommend this series of filters.
