Eshopps Eclipse L Overflow Box Kit, Large

Last month I ordered to my friend who live in US to purchase for me this L Eclipse Overflow Box. No matter price for Box, price for postage and even custom in Serbia I received for my new acrylic aquarium high level of quality product, very nice design that will be by side of aquarium and not some cheap plastic fantastic boxes. Waiting time of USPS it was awful over a month to Europe, but I recommend to anyone who care how his new or refurbished aquarium need to look perfect to not think but direct order this product. I will be glad if we can share our photos of installed anyway trust me just a little on red pipe silencer to adjust flow sound and its valid all money. Ordered new gaskets with the box after reading other reviews. Installation was pretty straight forward. I drilled from the inside. The water level is slightly lower than desired but above the trim when my pump is running. Be sure to use the drilling template from inside the tank. If you put the template to the outside trim, your holes will be too low and you will be very disappointed. I would suggest marking the holes to be drilled and hold your overflow box to them. You will see what I'm talking about. No leaks what so ever but like I said, I did not use the included gaskets. The diamond hole saw that was included was of decent quality also. I hope this review helps some one.

This box will move some water! And with three 1" sch. 40 bulkheads, it provides some great options. However, there are some draw backs :<br><br>1) it will significantly lower the water level inside of the tank. Even with partially removing some of the aquarium bracing and mounting it higher than suggested, my level is still low. This requires modification #2: cut a rectangle of plexiglass to mount inside the weir to raise the water flow level. <br><br>2) it is loud without any modifications!!! Hands down the loudest over flow that I've used in 20 years. The tips I mentioned above will help eliminate the sound. <br><br>I would highly recommend this over flow to anyone with skills and abilities to make some changes and modifications. To the user that wants plug and play- is not for you, sorry.

I had been eyeing this item for awhile, but was confused about the seemingly incorrect dimension information I was finding online. So I had contacted Eshopps directly before buying, since, as I found out, the online retailers that sell this overflow apparently were not personally familiar with this product (even thought they were selling it). Eshopps verified what I had suspected...The internal black overflow portion is 4" wider than all the online retailers advertise (its actually 12" wide--not 8" as stated). This discovery was awesome !! I notified Aqua Cave who stated they would update the Specs on their website. So I purchased the Eshopps Eclipse Overflow-LG from Aquacave at sale price combined with free shipping and no tax, which made it by far the best price I have seen on this item anywhere!<br>HOWEVER: In my search for this product from online retailers, only one retailer accurately lists the "parts included" in their description. PLEASE NOTE: this overflow kit is supposed to include the hole saw! When I received my overflow kit from Aqua Cave, the kit was missing instructions, the hole saw, and the red emergency overflow tube. I contacted AquaCave and the very nice person I spoke with stated that I would have to wait for someone else (can't remember his name) to call me back. In the mean time, I contacted Eshopps (the person that I had already been in contact with) in order to verify that this overflow kit was supposed to contain the missing items. She not only verified that the kit was supposed to have the hole saw and other items in it, but sent me the missing items directly! I notified Aqua Cave that the parts were being sent to me by Eshopps, so they would not need to send them. <br>So with all this said....I would definitely buy this again from AquaCave, Its sleek, its sexy, and for going on a 60 gal tank, it beats the price of a Ghost/Synergy Reef Overflow, but looks just as nice! <br>Aqua Cave customer service is very friendly, and super ready/willing to make things right! I will be making them one of my main "go-to" online retailers from now on--so glad I found AquaCave!<br>
