A must have for vacation time!

Posted by Joshua on Nov 4th 2015

I received these from aquacave just a couple days before leaving the country for a week. Hooked them up, and left. We came back and my tank sitter said everything was ok, but all the timers were way off. Come to find out one day after we left we lost power for nearly six hours! Two of these kept my moderately 210 gallon tank alive. Best purchase ever! Thanks for saving my tank aquacave!

These are a no brainer for somebody who cannot have a gas powered generator and has a small tank. I have 3 for my 2 small tanks in case we ever lose power. Also have plenty of D batteries ready to go.

Awesome little device, comes with everything, Gives peace of mind

I love this little device. I tested it out, but not had to have it run more than 5-10 minutes at a time so not sure about the overall battery life.

When the unit stops receiving power, the unit turns on. This is exactly what I wanted it to do and what I was looking for. For the price, i don't think many options out there come close to it. I love that the cable and the airstone come with it, but I decided to use a longer tubing I already had that was a different color that blended into my tank better as well. This is the cheapest and most effective first step one can take to a life support system for power outages for any tank, but remember this is only rated for 50 or less gallons, so you may need multiple depending on the size of the tank and the bio-load.
