Unlike other driftwood, it sinks when placed in water and requires no slate bottom.

Add a Natural Look
Great price for a nice piece of wood. The piece I ordered sank immediately, although I soaked for 2 weeks. It really adds a natural look to my tank in combination with some other pieces. <br>After soaking for a couple of weeks some pieces were "splintering" off, but I expect after these few stray pieces come off it should remain intake. This splintering kind of adds to the natural look. If I have any issues with wood falling apart in future I will be updating review.

Nice looking wood.
One piece I received I had to soak for several weeks to get it waterlogged. The other piece sank right away. This wood looks really great underwater and my shrimp seem to enjoy exploring all of the nooks and crannies. I would purchase this wood again.
