I'm planning on getting the klir 7" drop in filter when I can so I definitely needed this because I have a home made refugium under display tank its a 55 gal and fits perfectly width wise thank you for that,as of right now I'm using a 7"filter sock in place of where klir unit will be but all and all love the product
