B-Ionic Calcium Buffer is the original, unique, easy-to-use, two-component liquid supplement system. When using equal volumes of each component, the aquarist can easily maintain calcium and alkalinity levels with no mixing powders, disruption of ionic balance, or addition of organic chemicals. Best 2 part to use with ESV salt!
The use of this really couldn't be more simple, for a baseline start dosing 1ml for every 4 gallons of total system volume, or 5ml per 20 gallons. This is easy enough to dose by hand but a simple 2 head dosing pump makes it even easier, once you have been running it for a week its testing time! Once your levels are stable and you have determined where you want to be there are tons of online calculators to aid you in figuring out how much you need to increase (or decrease?) the actual ml taking uptake into consideration. I said a 2 head doser assuming you're already using the ESV salt (if not why?) since you won't be needing to add any magnesium as its already in the salt mix! Really great products all around. Works well
One of the bottles I had to set in the sun and shake well to get the crystals to dissolve and still didn't totally dissolve, however after moving it inside it finally dissolved after checking a week later and looks great. Easy product to use and it's affordable. I will continue to use it.

EAST TO USE & EFFECTIVE TOO
The ESV two part for Alkalinity & Calcium is probably the easiest was to dose. Just pour in the desired amount for Alkalinity followed by a similar dosage for Calcium and watch your Corals take off.<br>I believe ESV recommends dosing 7.5 mg of each to start off (less if you dose Kalkwasser).<br>I dose Kalkwasser and currently dose 15 mg of Alkalinity & Calcium due to the extensive growth in my tank.<br>Just remember that if you order the 1 gallon size, they only comes half full. You fill each jug with a 1/2 gallon of RO water to bring each jug to 1 gallon.
