Works great
Purchased to replace one that I accidently damaged, works great right out of the box. Comes with a nice case for storage. Was already calibrated, scale is easy to see and can be focused to even my bad eye sight. Highly recommend

Easy!
Works great right out of the box. Easy to calibrate, just use r.o.d.i. water for absolute zero and done! Solidly constructed, easy to clean and store. Highly recommended!

Does everything you need
This is a well-built item. Really easy to calibrate (it was already), easy to adjust and read. Comes with cleaning cloth, screwdriver, everything you need. I was worried about the lack of calibration fluid, but it's based on absolute zero rather than the value of saltwater, so just use your r.o.d.i. water and turn screw til it reads 0. I couldnt be happier with it!

never going back
this is the way to go for testing salinity. so reliable. just note that you need to have distilled water with you because it requires calibration before every test. you calibrate with distilled water.

Bombshell of a Device
This refractometer with ATC is extremely well made. I am surprised it does not cost a little more. Totally satisfied with it!<br><br>I calibrated it at a supermarket because the temperature at our house is 74-75F and the manufacturer says to calibrate at 68F. I asked permission of course and they were happy to comply. I reside in TX and the heat here is brutal.

Good refractometer
I have several of these and this one seems to work just fine right out of the box. The last one, which was almost identical but a different brand, finally leaked after four years and let water inside. This was the right price for another. Keep them calibrated.

Best Purchase Thus Far
I'm so happy I finally invested in a refractometer. I found out my hydrometer was 0.004 off! Excellent refractometer, easy to use, easy to calibrate and it does come with a blue lens cloth. Great purhase.

Don't go by the picture, it dosen't come with lens cloth. Seems well built. Had to calabrate when I first got it.
