Great Performance. lacking in quality materials.
This is a hard review. Would have given this skimmer 5 stars if it wasn't for the material used in building the skimmer. From the performance point of view this skimmer is AWESOME!!! The design of the skimmer is GREAT. Easy a 5 star rating. The ONLY thing I did not like about the skimmer is the material used to build the skimmer. The skimmer is made from a plastic type of material. (Not cast acrylic.) I don't want to say cheap, but that's what it feel/looks like. The cup will easily crack if dropped. (Careful when cleaning.) I dropped mine in the sink and it cracked. In he end, the skimmer does a great job doing what it was designed to do. For the money it costs, there are skimmers with the same performance made with better materials. (I purchased a Ice Cap K2-200 to replace my G4 skimmer. Review to follow.) and of course I purchased my K2-200 skimmer from Aquacave!! Happy Reefing........ :0)
