ffective August 18, 2025, Aqua Ultraviolet will implement the following modification(s):
- The SL 100 Transformer will be updated to a universal electronic ballast.
- This update replaces the outdated magnetic ballast, ignitor, and—where applicable—the step transformer.
- With this change, the SL 120Vac system NEMA transformer enclosure will be reduced in size from 12” x 12” x 6” to 4” x 4” x 12”.
- The SL 100-Watt 240Vac enclosure will remain 4” x 4” x 12”.
3. Impact of Change
- Form/Fit/Function: Form and Function remain unchanged. Fit will change due to the smaller enclosure on the SL100 120Vac system.
- Compatibility: Existing SL 100-Watt units in service are unaffected. Replacement transformers will be direct-fit compatible.
- Performance: The new design improves lamp performance with proper installation, voltage, plumbing, and protections.
