Each light has 80-degree optical lenses as a standard which gives the perfect balance between spread and intensity. The LED color combination was chosen to give the best results for a freshwater aquarium, however, they also work great on display refugium showing off its inhabitants.
Simple Built-in Control
All AI devices include smart control standards. Use the my pp on any iOS or Android device and is probably one of the easiest pieces of software to get up and running. The programming can be as simple as using a pre-defined cycle all the way to multi-point programming that lets you customize the intensity and spectrum throughout the day. The app is fully expandable from a single light up to more than you would ever need on your reef tank using the master/slave programming, you only need to program a single light.
Optics
The AI Prime Freshwater LEDs come standard with 80-degree lenses giving you the best balance of power and spread. AI's lens optics are custom designed, boasting greater than 90% optical efficiency and including a diffuse exit surface to provide improved color blending.

Very pleased!
I decided to dip my toes into the high end lighting market by buying one of these for my 125 gallon tank. I'm very glad I went with it over comparable Kessil lights. It's not the only light I have tucked away in my hood, but it is far and away my favorite and I am planning to replace my old light bars with a few more of these as I get the money. They have great light output, even for the depth of my tank, and I had to dial the light back to avoid algae. Very pleased with the app experience, even on Android. I haven't tested this personally as of yet, but I expect that it will have enough output at full blast to light a tank with CO2 injection. The standout feature is the configurable sunrise and sunset times, allowing you to see what is going on inside your tank for longer than the 6-8 hours normally recommended for planted tank setups. With the low intensity ramp up and ramp down periods on either side of the full intensity core period, I can get a good view of my fish and shrimp for a full 13 hours without triggering algae blooms. It also has beautiful housing, and I look forward to the day when I can ditch my bulky hood and light bars for 3 or 4 of these on gooseneck mounts.<br><br>Highly recommend.
