Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6040 Electronic with Controller
Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6020 Electronic was designed to be hidden behind rock work and not on display like what happens with most pumps these days. They point vertically, shooting water directly at the deflector, which pushes the water in a horizontal direction, more or less. This deflector can be rotated to target flow to specific areas, but we’re thinking this setup will result in something along the lines of a gyre type system.
The new Turbelle Nanostream will be available in two different models. The 6020 is the smallest, and it is a non-controllable pump with a flow rate of 2500l/h (660 USgal./h) at just 4watts of power consumption. The other model in this new offering is the 6040, and besides bringing more flow to the table, this model will be controllable and will have a wider deflector. Dubbed the wide flow model, the 6040 has an adjustable flow rate of 200 to 4500l/h (53 to 1190 USgal./h) while consuming no more than 13watts at full bore. The 6040 will be controllable via the Multicontroller 7095, 7096, and 7097 (new model), as well as the Wavecontroller 7092.

Awesome pump
I have two of these paired with the Tunze "Y" cable using a moonlight and set up has been a breeze. Please see my review of the Tunze moonlight for more info. The instructions that come with this pump also have a detailed section describing how their moonlight option works. So far, everything has been working great! Highly recommend!

Exactly what I needed
Bought the Tunze 6040 for a little additional flow for my 10 gallon Nuvo. It’s well made and completely silent.

Currently using it at the lowest speed and it’s the perfect amount of flow that I needed to cover dead spots.

My only concern is the open propeller. I’m nervous a snail or something will venture in and get stuck.
My other recommendation would be to have an off button for times where you want to turn it off instead of having to unplug it.

Just What I Was Looking For
I have a Trigger sump but wasn't happy with the water flow from the second chamber into an through the refugium section before running into the return section. I added this to the refugium section of the sump and it has made a big difference. The water in the refugium section is crystal clear now and the macro algae is growing much better. The pump is super easy to set up and the controller allows adjusting the flow to suit a variety of needs. I don't find the pump to be very noisy and even if it was a bit noisy, it is just what I was looking for and I would buy it again!

Powerful
This little thing packs a lot of power. I don't think that it's loud. I love the controller feature. The only thing that I don't like is that the propeller blade is open. I've only had it in the aquarium for a few weeks with no incident, but I keep waiting for a snail or hermit to venture in there and jam it. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

Loud but tons of flow
Wide flow and good controllability, But it's quite noisey in wave mode turning on and off or pulsing. Even in the lowest setting it's loud. Not to happy with that considering it's 140 bucks and Jbo haven't somewhat similar controllability sleek for 60$ and are whisper quiet even on its highest setting.

Packs a lot of power
Twist the wrong button and create your own storm. Great unit for the price, very affordable. Maybe a little over powering for a 10 gal Nano cube but would be great for something up to a 30 or larger.
Its a trial and error thing so take the time to read the instructions and be careful twisting the knobs. Watch the tank and not the knob. Feeding mode is a plus
