Fantastic filter

Posted by James Bourne on May 1st 2021

Whoever gave it 1 star doesn't know how to use it (filter floss/pillow foam would get rid of cloudiness, not the filter's fault).

The media basket is huge. Parts are relatively cheap to replace. The only downside is the fact that it can't restart itself in the event of a power outage.

Didn't quite live up to my expectations, water stays cloudy.

    Hagen Filter

I found it odd how most of the largest junk is trapped under the filter group. You have to take out this whole bundle to rinse the first stage filter. As it seems to me this should be the most accessible thing to get at, prefer the set up in something like the the Emperor. This is annoying but not terminal. Thi is the reason I gave it just 3 stars.

    Works very efficiently and quietly

Posted by Callisto on Sep 14th 2011

This filter is fantastic. It does the job and it does it quietly. I have a thirty gallon tank with quite a few guppies in it and they have no complaints! Shipping was super lightening fast too from Aqua cave!

    Aqua Clear 50

I got a new 15 gal for a saltwater tank. I bought an Aqua Clear 50. It is a lot of filter for this size of tank and when I hooked it on, on following day water was cristal clear.
You won't be dissappointed.
