Check out the Gen. 2 Bubble Magus Filter Roll, Large
Bubble Magus Filter Roll, Large
The filter is a high-efficiency water filtration system that effectively removes suspended particles such as detritus, food, and organic waste from the water column.
Removes the need for filter socks. Water is fed into the internal chamber via the aquarium systems drain and through the filter roll. When the water level rises in the chamber due to filter clogging the water level switch triggers the motor to wind on the filter roll to a new fresh piece. The water level will then drop repeating the process
Use in marine aquariums, freshwater aquariums, and coral systems.

Stopped working properly
I bought this in May but didn't get to set it up until recently. It worked great at first, but then after a couple of weeks the sidewalls started bending apart. The bar that holds the roller in place no longer reaches. I now have to manually feed it once a day which defeats the purpose of the unit.

Great reliable roller filter
I got a Clarisea but ended up with Bubble Maggus filter. It does not have a lot of sensor alarm except for the float valve sensor and its works great. It come assembled and you can switch around the orientation both the inlet and filter. It comes with a hose which is a plus that you can cut. I have this running for 6 months with no issues and I do reused the filter by washing it with water hose and soak in bleach. It last for about 6 weeks in the sump. With a 200 gallon 6 foot tank at 1000 gallon per hours on the return, this things can handle it well. I loved my bubble magus especially with a very low price that is always on sale.

Still a Great Product.. But this one has some minor !! damage !!
Installed my first unit on Bubble Magnas roller about two weeks ago and it went perfect, you can see my review on the small roller version.

I don't get a lot of free time for setting up new Equipment but this weekend I had some spare time so decided to get the large unit out of the box and get it installed on my other tank system which is the main display tank. Its a 150 gallon with a 65 gallon sump tank. It was packaged well same as the smaller one no signs of abuse so I was excited to get it out and setup as the main tank also has a little red slim on one of the rocks and this cured my problem on the smaller tanks issue with red slim. It was packaged the same as the smaller unit I purchased lots of foam packing on the inside and the roller was pretty much all assembled. When I pulled it out of the box the roller and a roller bar fell off the unit right away. Didn't think much about it and started checking the plastic screws on it and hand tighten them the same as I did on the first unit. I then noticed one of the bottom roller bard was loose and kind of weird seem to flop from side to side a little but worked. After making sure the screws were all hand tight I reached for the included paper roll and the holder slid out in about three pieces. As you can imagine my heart sank a little and my enthusiasm left immediately. !!!What to do now!!!! It's a weekend for one thing, It's Social Isolation thanks to that crazy virus problem so businesses are closed........... It's not the fault of AquaCave they were great shipping was fast and packaged well, they even called me to make sure I had placed the order. It definately looked as though it was broken at the factory when packaged.
Not all's lost I thought Check with the manufacture and see if you can get a replacement bar sent I would even pay for it if there was any static about it. So I went to the manufactures site eager to get one shipped out and on the way. But shoot!!! their website is having issues home page throws up a SQL injector error and the site is dead.... So I searched the internet hoping to find someone who sells parts for it, replacement rolls are all I can find.
So now reality sets in and it's time to see if I can fix the issue. Going to try and glue the plastic pieces back together and see if it will hold till I can get a new one. If that doesn't work maybe I can get a small piece of plastic from the hardware store and use my Dremel to cut out a new holder. I know toilet paper is hard to find but toilet paper holders are still in stock maybe that will work. Hey!!! this isn't so bad after all... I'm out of time again so if I get it resolved I'll post an update as to what method worked.

Cheers everyone.
