    Increases ro/di performance

Posted by Jonathan on May 19th 2019

I was burning through DI resin, so I decided to add the Aquatec Booster pump kit. Solved all my problems - took my water pressure from 45psi to 80psi. Output went from a few drips to a steady stream and my DI resin is lasting much longer now. If you are on the fence like I was --- DO IT! - well worth the $

    Universal pressure increases

    Posted by RP709 on Dec 12th 2018

My RODI system also makes drinking water and ice not just tank water, this booster pump increases pressure and output across all devices. All you need to install it is 4 mounting screws and a tubing cutter. Mount the pump near the input/ output of your system and within reach of an outlet for the transformer. Install the push (Guest) fittings in the pump, cut the input water line for your RODI unit (make sure to turn the water off and depressurize the lines first) and insert into the fittings flow is right to left indicated by the arrows on top of the pump. Your basically putting the pump inline between the water supply and the RODI unit. Next connect the pressure switch to the pump and power supply connectors, cut the product water output line and connect each side to the pressure switch (flow direction does not matter here). Turn the water on and do a quick leak check, plug in the transformer and open a product water device (float switch/ valve/etc.) and your making water, that's about it. Total installation time of about 10 minutes, almost doubled my water pressure, I wish I had installed one sooner!

Love the pump. Same pump that Spectrapure sells however Aqua Cave sells it cheaper AND the switch comes with the unit unlike spectrapures kit!

    Great Addition For RO/DI System

Posted by Jason on Dec 4th 2016

Allows your RO/DI system to run at the recommended PSI instead of whatever your water pressure is from the city. Shutdown switch works great. Setup and mounting the pump is simple.

    Great Pump

Posted by Jay on Oct 19th 2011

Fairly quiet and works great! I am on well water and my pressure is about 30psi. The pump increased the pressure to about 120psi. It was extremely easy to hook up and works like a charm. When I had questions in the past, I have found Aqua Cave's staff extremely helpful.

    Great pump

    Posted by RLB1130 on Sep 26th 2011

Works great but directions are horrible. Took forever to find instructions to use setup with pressure tank and ASV. Best advice replace existing auto shut off with a solenoid. Getting the ASV in tune with the pressure switch is no easy chore. By placing pressure switch near tank (after ASV)I have inlet pressure to membrane of 80 psi and tank pressure of 60 psi with the stock pump/pressure switch settings. Had to get a solenoid as I couldnt get the ASV to work with the pressure switch and pump would not shut off. If you place switch immediately after the pump you will only get 60 psi max pressure into the membrane..

    Works great

The product works great but there are a few problems. First no manual, this pump is not hard to figure out but if you need to lower the pump pressure it would be nice to have a manual to tell you how to do this (1/16" Allen wrench needed to turn the screw on top of unit)

Booster pump GREATLY enhances RO performance

Posted by Jungle John on Mar 12th 2009

RO machines run like a snail until a booster pump is employed. Aquatec makes the best in the business. My system produces water with lower TDSs at a rate more than twice as fast as prior to plumbing the Aquatec pump. Highly recommended for all RO users. Remember that 99.9% of all marine life agree: Nothing but RO water for me, please!
