Aqua Euro USA Max-Chill 1/13 HP Titanium Water Chiller

Got this chiller 7-8 yrs ago. Came here to get another for a second tank. Still runs strong. It has followed me through 5 moves and numerous trips to visit family. Sad to see it's not available now. I'm using it for a 40 gallon axolotl tank that overflows into a 20 gallon reserve tank. I had forgotten that it had a 50 gal max until coming back here. Still works great though.

I'm currently using this for a twenty-gallon axolotl tank, and it has worked fantastic for the past few months that I've had it up and going. The chiller turns on when the tank temperature goes two degrees above where I set it, which is fine. Would highly recommend, it is well worth the price.

I bought this chiller for my 40 gallon axolotl tank and it works great. Keeps the temp at 62 degrees despite the weather this past week being in the 90s. I haven't had to run my AC so low anymore which is great so I've been keeping my house at 75 but the tank stays a cool 62. It's also not too loud when running which is nice. Overall, I'm happy and my axolotls are happy so I'll call it a win :) <br><br>Only recommendation is I would include what pump is needed with this because I had no clue what pumps would be good with this item. On some of the other sizes you recommend which pumps work well, but this one listed no recommended pumps and so I had to do a lot of research to determine what pump to buy that would work with this item. Also adding directions for how to set up the whole system would be super helpful as I purchased the pump, chiller and tubing and no where in the instruction manual does it tell you how to put it all together. Fortunately I found a youtube video on how to put these items together, but if it gave instructions in the manual on how to put everything together that would be super helpful.

This is an excellent chiller for smaller aquariums. I have been using it on a twenty gallon aquarium housing Italian Alpine newts (I a apuanus), and it maintains the aquarium around 63'F even in the summer when my house reached 80'F, which is essential for the newts' survival (temperatures over 70'F will kill them). The 'initial chill' obviously takes some time - it only chills the aquarium by three degrees an hour - but, once it reaches the set temperature, it will maintain the water within two degrees of that temperature. <br>I will admit that it is noisy when actively chilling, thus I would not recommend this chiller for a bedroom aquarium during the summer, but the noise is not terribly unpleasant - just a whirr that trails off quietly once the aquarium is sufficiently chilled. It quickly becomes part of the white noise of the house once you are a few feet away. After running this chiller for a year, I only notice it if I am searching for the sound.<br>All in all, this is a great chiller for its price, and I highly recommend it for smaller aquariums.

I have a ten gallon hydroponic reservoir that is underneath grow lights that generate heat and warm the water unacceptably. The Aqua Euro USA 1/13hp chiller brings the temperature down very nicely and holds it there. It is quiet too which is a plus. For the money it's the best I could find.
